Broccoli, a superfood and a top source of protein and fiber, has got my heart hooked esp since I’m focusing on muscle building these days 💪✨

Not just that, it’s also a good source of iron, potassium, calcium, selenium, and magnesium as well as the vits. A, C, E, K, and a range of B vits.
Overall, makes up for a yummy, healthy salad.
It’s not for no reason that it has a reputation as a superfood and easily becomes a go-to especially for people focusing on muscle building.
(which as I mentioned earlier, is a work-in-progress for yours truly, don’t forget seeing my insta stories if you haven’t already🙈😬)
So, yeah, broccoli. Another thing with veggies as broccoli and cauliflower is that we usually boil them before cooking so that any dirt or anything gets cleared out and it’s totally clean.
The prob with this is that boiling greatly reduces the nutritional value of the veggies.
A few good alternatives to it:
1) Steam clean it by putting it in a strainer above boiling water for about 2 mins
or
2) Just put it in boiling water for 1.5 mins and take it out, not more than that
This will clean the veggies while preserving their nutritional value💛💚✨
The recipe for this broccoli almond salad is, as usual, pretty easy. Throw in the cleaned broccoli (100 gm), 1 tbsp of olive oil, a dash of chaat masala, salt to taste, a few soaked almonds..in a bowl and mix it well after a fresh squeeze of 🍋 and that’s it! Eat it then😅🥗🙈
